Episode 217 - "I'm the King of that Hula Hoop"

Welcome to the 17th episode of the second case file of the Fair Use Law podcast as we celebrate our 40th episode overall with an all encompassing swipe at coherency. This week the tribunal discuss topics very near and dear to the hearts of America's school children such as abstract concepts of time, yesterday being the most important day in the history of mankind, our continuing One Day Deadpool, iTunes reviews, female celebrity upskirt comment boards, why bringing cocaine to Clear Channel Studios is a very bad idea, and how the VMAs were behind 9/11 if you really think about it.

This week's episode is brought to you by our very special sponsor, Gold4Jetpack:

One of the bigger debates of this week's episode is centered around the annual Video Music Awards hosted by the Music Television channel. This year's advertising has centered around a very familiar theme:

You might say "Yes, that's West Side Story. It's a parody of it. That's why you are getting Deja Vu." To that I say nay and no, sir. I'm getting deja vu because someone has already used a parody of West Side Story to promote an event better:

Yes, that's child murderer Chris Benoit in a wig prancing and singing. Please time warp back before he killed irony and enjoy it despite his presence.

In other VMA news, I would like to announce that I'm continuing my annual trend of real time live VMA recaps. If you would like to read what I think about this very special event in real time, simply follow me on Twitter using the sidebar and bookmark Iceanvil.com. I'll be updating IA every commercial break and posting quarter hour rundowns on my twitter. This has been a cherished event that started close to 10 years ago on the once vaulted Chibi-Clan Nudity, so light a candle, put on your dancing shoes, and let's help keep the memory alive.

In unrelated Batman news, it's been revealed that Christian Bale has a skeleton in his closet that doesn't involve yelling at a directory of photography. It just so happens to be dancing and singing the praises of cereal marshmallows in the shape of a video game icon:

And finally this week I want to end with a real treat. PAX, the annual Penny Arcade Expo and Swine Flu Incubation Bin took place this week and with it came the announcement of many a great game. No game has fancied my struck quite as much as Twisted Pixel's Comic Jumper. Twisted Pixel's previous two Xbox Live Arcade offerings, the Maw and 'Splosion Man, have been great fun and have even been featured in the past on this very podcast blog. So ladies and gentlemen, please to enjoy Comic Jumper:
