With their modern rock hit single "Meant To Live" being overplayed even to this day, it was easy to write off Switchfoot as a flash in the pan one hit wonder. I know I did. That was until I heard The Sound (the John M Perkins Blues). By adding a few extra layers of keyboards and noise to their music along with a chorus that can only be described as shout along, they have crafted a song even I had to check the band out again for.
