Episode 305 - "That’s Why Cousin It Can Never Be A Lesbian"

Welcome gents and gent-ettes to episode Tres-Cero-Cinco de Fair Use Law Podcast! Coming off a weekend that included both a major religious holiday and something equally important, Anime Boston, the triceratops tribunal cover all the crazy mixed up bases possible. Topics thrown about like oh so much inappropriate doujinshi at a convention manga library include anime Frankenstein possibly being the second coming of the savior, what happens when anime conventions have way too much room and not enough events to utilize them, how the 90s were the golden years of MTV’s Spring Break compared to the current shadow of its former self, the trials and tribulations of being a big fish in a small flag football pond, and how not to climb over a chain linked fence.

To start off our 305th shownotes, why note rock out with our fireballs of dragon fury our with this excellent music video tribute to Street Fighter: the Movie:

Because we all could use more Raul Julia in our sad lives, here is a double dose via MC Hammer's Addams Family rap from Addams Family Values, a song that I sheepishly admit to knowing by heart way too much:

During the podcast we discuss the anime Frankenstein and it's inability to be found on Youtube. I then proceeded to search for it and instantly found it for you, our loyal listeners. Behold and beware of Anime Fronkenstein:

While Randy was off at Anime Boston this weekend, my heart was being won over by the Korean romantic comedy "I'm A Cyborg But That's OK!" Featuring the heartwarming story of a girl who thinks she is a robot and the kleptomaniac who is afraid he will shrink into a dot and vanish falling in love to prevent world destruction, how can it not tug on your heartstrings?

Since it's still technically Spring Break somewhere, let's end these shownotes in a festive party of sweaty men, industrial metal, and bikinis, shall we? Let's start off with this clip from MTV Spring Break's Cancun Beach Brawl '99, featuring a battle royale of WCW's finest (who would work for free) and Fear Factory performing "Shock." Bonus points for having Raven and Kid Rock on commentary:

Too much testosterone in that last Spring Break video? Well folks, do I have a treat for you. You see, many years ago MTV used to have a Spring Break show called Fashionably Loud, where models would walk around in swimwear while metal bands play. Then the show soon because models walking around while rappers and R&B singers performed. Then the show was canceled. One of the weirder episodes of this show was the one featuring industrial band Pitchshifter, featuring a little known band called Limp Bizkit opening up for them. The sound is a little soft on this one, so please to be cranking it like your daddy taught you to to WYSIWYG:
